Sept 25 2026:
Been driving the Canyon around a lot lately. I really like this truck… and today I drove 850 kms (round trip) to get a nice gift for the truck..

A Canopy ! that’s a perfect fit …
I’m selling the hard cover .. I want more room, dryness and roof rack. Yes it’s white.. for now. And I don’t mind the lack of side windows. I’m working on getting power to the canopy. I have powered USB and 12 volt outlet to install, as well as LED lighting
Let’s customize the new canopy…
With only front and rear windows it’s dark inside. So let’s fix that ! You can’t really just mount things anywhere in a fibreglass shell. So I’m mounting plywood panels to both interior sides. Glued and screwed from the outside with sealed caps. I brought 12 volt power up from the trailer connector for powering the STUFF.

The two pin plug is in case I want to remove the canopy. Yes I am capable of thinking ahead. I’m putting a control panel just inside on the driver’s side. And this is what I came up with…

This panel has a power switch ,voltage readout , USB and a 12volt plug. The red rocker switch is for the interior lights… Yes two one on each side up high. Here’s the panels painted and ready to go.

They are 60″ long and 13″ high.. That’s all the flat space in the canopy.

SEE… That does cover most of the usable space. The control panel mounts to that piece and fills in the corner… a bit.. As for the screws…

Eight on each side.. and they don’t look too bad.
